Purpose of service
Domestic applications of ionizing radiation and radioactive materials are increasing day by day. How to ensure the safety of using ionizing radiation and radioactive materials, and whether it affects the surrounding environment has become an issue of concern in ionizing radiation protection. According to "Safety Standards for Ionizing Radiation Protection", environmental radiation monitoring should be implemented for radiation workers and radiation workplaces. The Radiation Monitoring Center (RMC) is responsible for the national environmental radiation monitoring. There are well-equipped radiation detection instruments and technology.Based on the concept of serving the public, there are various services related to radiation detection and instrument calibration. Welcome to make good use of it.
Items of service
1. Calibration and testing of portable gamma dose rate meter. (For radiation dose rate : 5 μSv/h~ 25 mSv/h)
2. Radioactive contamination smear test. (Perform smear test by applicant agency and sends it for counting)
3. Radioactivity analysis of nuclear medicine wastewater. (Self-sampled by the facility owner)
4. Strontium- 90 nuclide analysis.
5. Gamma spectrometric analysis.
6. Tritium analysis in water sample.
7. Gross alpha and gross beta analysis in water sample.
8. Others. (Please contact RMC for special case.)
