The Radiation Monitoring Center (RMC) is responsible for the environmental radiation detection and investigation. To protect people against dangers caused by ionizing radiation, RMC has settled up monitoring systems around the nuclear facilities and in various regions, and strengthened the analysis and measurement of different kinds of environmental samples.

For enhancing radiation monitoring relevant technical capabilities and promoting laboratory quality certification, RMC is engaged in international data comparing with IAEA test samples and technical information exchanges actively to ensure the data are consistently accurate and precise.
