The key work of the Department of Planning encompasses three aspects: administrative management, international cooperation, and open and transparent communication. Each division/section formulates the Nuclear Safety Commission’s work plans, supervises and evaluates its tasks or projects, conducts international exchanges and cooperation, implements nuclear safeguards, issues press releases and communicates with the public, and discloses information in accordance with their respective responsibilities.

• Handling affairs related to international nuclear safeguards.
• Controlling the use of nuclear safeguard materials, such as uranium, plutonium, thorium, and heavy water.
• Implementing the administrative regulations of the TECRO-AIT Agreement on the Civil Nuclear Cooperation, and controlling the accounting for all nuclear material.
• Implementing the control of strategic high-tech commodities in coordination with the Bureau of Foreign Trade’s import/export trade control.
