Nuclear power plant's low level radioactive waste monthly production status
(May.2025)

LLRW is divided into two main categories: wet waste and dry active waste. Wet wastes, namely the evaporation residue, filter sludge, and spent resins, are first solidified inside galvanized steel drums and then stored in dedicated storage warehouses. Dry active wastes, mainly waste paper, clothes, plastics, woods, metal, etc., are either segmented or shredded and then forwarded for volume reduction by incineration and super-compactor at the Volume Reduction Center.
Cement is the most commonly used solidification agent for wet waste.
