The Executive Director of the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), Lars van Dassen, Visits the NSC for Nuclear Security Exchange and MOU Signing

Activity Overview:
The NSC invited Lars van Dassen, the Executive Director of the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), to visit on September 3, 2026 to deepen technical exchange and cooperation in nuclear security. During the visit, both sides exchanged views on international nuclear security developments and future cooperation, and signed a MOU.
 
A key outcome of this visit was the establishment of a cooperation mechanism for nuclear security exchanges. Both sides will continue to deepen cooperation in areas including nuclear security professional development, education and training, and technical exchange. Through WINS's international nuclear security professional network, Taiwan can draw on international experience and best practices to strengthen nuclear security capabilities. After signing the MOU, Executive Director van Dassen visited the NSC Nuclear Safety Duty Center.
 
The visit strengthened cooperation between the NSC and WINS and helped Taiwan stay informed of international nuclear security developments. The NSC will continue to promote international cooperation and enhance Taiwan's nuclear security capabilities.
