NSC Secretary General Chung-Der WANG welcomed the Japanese delegation on Mar. 31. The delegation included eight members of the Niigata Prefectural Assembly — Mr. Ken OFUCHI, Mr. Tomoyuki UESUGI, Mr. Susumu KOJIMA, Mr. Hidetoshi HIGUCHI, Mr. Masaki MAKITA, Mr. Haruhiko KASAHARA, Mr. Makoto KOBAYASHI, and Mr. Takefumi SUSA. During the meeting, both sides engaged in extensive exchanges on topics including the regulation of nuclear power plant safety, spent fuel management, nuclear talent cultivation, and emergency preparedness and response.
