Event Highlights:

NSC Chairperson Min-Jen CHEN welcomed a delegation of Japanese parliamentarians and experts at the NSC headquarters on July 21. The delegation included three members of the Japanese House of Representatives—Kaname TAJIMA, who led the delegation, as well as Makoto YAMAZAKI and Yuki SAITO—together with Professor Kenichi OSHIMA and Professor Jusen ASUKA. During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a cordial and constructive exchange on topics including nuclear power plant regulation, the safe management of radioactive waste and the emergency preparedness. The discussion was marked by a warm and collegial atmosphere, reflecting a shared interest in strengthening nuclear safety and regulatory cooperation.
