Participants: Chaired by Dr. Bin Kao, Director of Nuclear Regulation Office, NSC, and Mr. Russell Felts, Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The meeting was joined by US NRC’s delegates, NSC’s personnel and experts. 

Event Highlights:

The first Bilateral Technical Meeting (BTM) was held in Taiwan in 2003, and it is an annual meeting hosted by the NRC and the NSC in turns. The 2024 NSC-NRC BTM was held between June 18-19 at the NSC in Taiwan. NRC delegates including Director Russell Felts and Ms. Marline Dominic participated in the meeting, and the NSC also arranged a courtesy visit to Minister Tung-yang Chen for the US delegates. The NSC and NRC will continue exchanging technical information and strengthen cooperation through this annual meeting.
